It is becoming more and more apparent to Robert and I that Hank loves music. Christina has tried many times to have him paint, color, draw, sculpt with play dough, etc. and he has virtually no interest in those activities. For Robert and I, we are more artistic than musical, so it is a little disappointing that he doesn’t enjoy art. But, it is a pleasure for us to watch him at such a young age engage in something that he so loves and is so enthusiastic about: singing, and playing the ukulele and piano.

He may lose interest in music when he is older, but for the meantime we feel it is crucial to document as much as possible him playing with instruments and singing.

So here are some videos of Hank being musical since the start of the new year:

In the below video Christina was trying to capture Hank singing “a rock and a tap” which is sung at the start of Family Music Time’s “Hello” song. He doesn’t have the word “tap” down, but you definitely hear him trying to keep a rhythm.  At the end of the “Hello” song, we sing scales using the word “you” and “me” to loosen the voices… in the video you will hear Hank sing “me” a little.
